Moderation plugins for Rust

Moderation plugins automate the routine enforcement work on a Rust server: muting spammers, kicking idle or lagging players, filtering chat and names, and tracking warnings so staff can act on evidence instead of guesswork. Server owners need these because chat floods, racial slurs in names, and players sitting AFK on a full slot all degrade the experience long before a human admin gets to them.

About moderation plugins

Most of the value is in chat moderation. A chat anti-spam plugin throttles message rate and can silence repeats, while a chat mute plugin blocks a player's messages without kicking them and usually persists the mute across reconnects. A chat word filter scrubs banned phrases before they reach other clients, and a player name filter catches offensive or impersonating names at connect time. Warnings give staff a structured record, typically with an expiry or a kick/ban threshold once a count is reached.

Wipe cycles matter for persistent state: mutes, warnings, and report history should be cleared or reviewed when you wipe, so check each plugin's data files before the map change. AFK and high ping kicks save slots and reduce desync complaints, but set thresholds generously or you will remove players on slow connections. Player reports and staff chat add a channel for players to flag issues and for admins to coordinate without leaking into global chat.

All plugins here are Oxide C# plugins. They run on Oxide and Carbon, read settings from config files under the server's config directory, and use permissions for who can mute, warn, and see staff chat. Confirm permission grants for your admin groups before enabling enforcement.
