Loot plugins for Rust

Loot plugins control what spawns inside crates, barrels and airdrops, how much of it drops, and how long it stays on the ground. Server owners use them to fight two opposite problems: vanilla loot economy that makes endgame gear too easy to farm, or drop rates so thin that players leave on wipe day. A loot multiplier or first loot bonus lets you nudge that balance per wipe without recompiling anything, while custom loot tables and custom airdrop loot replace the default contents of specific containers so you can gate blueprints, tinker with component drops, or make airdrops worth contesting again.

About loot plugins

Access control matters as much as the tables. A first opener crate lock claims a crate for the first player who touches it, and a locked crate hack timer turns hacked crates into timed objectives that other groups can contest. Barrel scrap bonus and recycler output multiplier change the value players extract from farming rather than what containers spawn, and dropped item despawn time affects how long contested loot persists after a fight. Tune each value against your wipe length; large recycled component output shortens progression noticeably.

All plugins on this page are standard C# Oxide plugins and load under Carbon. They hook the loot and container events, expose their values through JSON config files, and most grant admin-only permissions for in-game editing. Airdrop and crate changes take effect on the next spawn unless the plugin says otherwise.
