NPCs plugins for Rust
NPC plugins on a Rust server change how scientists, animals and other non-player characters are spawned, balanced and rewarded. Admins reach for them when vanilla NPC behavior does not fit the server: too many bears near spawn, scientists that shred new players, or loot tables that do not match the economy.

About npcs plugins
The plugins on this page cover the common levers. Spawn control decides where and how often NPCs appear, from fixed spawn points to an admin command that forces an animal to appear for testing. The health and damage multipliers scale how much punishment a scientist or animal takes and deals, which is the usual fix for NPCs that are too lethal on a modified PvE or PvP server. Targeting rules let admins create free zones where NPCs ignore players, and custom loot tables replace the default drops with server-specific items. A kill counter tracks how many NPCs players have cleared, useful for quests or leaderboards.
Balance matters more than raw numbers: a damage multiplier that looks fine against a single scientist can make a hunting pack unkillable at night, and stacked health multipliers across mods can stall combat. Spawn changes also interact with wipe cycles, since some spawn plugins keep their state in config files that survive a wipe while others rebuild on server restart. Config edits usually require a reload, and most of these plugins gate commands behind permissions, so plan your Oxide groups before rollout.
The plugins here hook NPC lifecycle events such as OnEntitySpawned, player damage and kill events, and the loot table call on corpse open. Matching hook dispatch means your hook method signature must accept the arguments Oxide passes, or the call is skipped.
