PvE plugins for Rust

A PvE plugin enforces the rules that separate a cooperative Rust server from a vanilla warzone: who can damage what, when raiding is allowed, and who gets to loot a corpse or crash site. Server owners use these rulesets to stop offline griefers, keep building damage off for most of the day, and reserve contested content for scheduled windows instead of letting one group farm the map.

About pve plugins

The main problems are balance and edge cases. Blanket damage protection also blocks legitimate interactions, so many setups use a raid hours window where damage is allowed for a fixed period and reverted outside it. Loot locks need care: an NPC corpse loot lock or a Heli and Bradley loot lock only helps if the same player or team can still retrieve their kill, and player corpse loot protection has to identify the owner reliably across disconnects. Traps that ignore players prevent a protected base from killing its neighbors by accident.

Most of the plugins here are hook-driven and config based. They listen to damage hooks, entity death and loot events, read a JSON config for permission groups, raid schedules and safe zone radii, and gate actions by Oxide permission. Safe PvE zones usually combine a map radius with a damage filter rather than a separate world. Expect to reload config after each wipe if your group list changes.
